Designer Spotlight: Coralia Leets
A synergy of style and elegance. What more could a girl ask for? Lucky for us, this is what Coralia Leets has based her whole design aesthetic on. In tune with what women really want, Coralia creates jewelry for the sophisticated woman who wants to let her individuality shine.
A Little History
Coralia Leets started her venture into the world of jewelry design a little over a decade ago and opened her first namesake boutique in 2001 in Winter Park, Florida. It was there that she first began to gather a loyal following. The Florida folk became instantly drawn to her vibrant and colorful designs. Originally, each piece of jewelry was individually handmade my local artisans, however with business booming, Coralia was soon forced to seek out other manufacturing options that could turn out quality craftsmanship at a higher capacity and a reasonable price. Coralia ended up settling on Turkey as the ideal manufacturing environment for her growing brand.
Coralia puts out two to three collections a year, each of which is comprised of roughly 675 pieces of jewelry. The collections are made using hand selected stones, primarily from Brazil. In the event that a particular stone is not available in a certain color, Coralia has sourced experts to dye quartz to a desired shade. The stones are then set in a sterling silver base that has been dipped in a 22k gold fill overlay. This unique technique helps keep the designs at Coralia's target price point, therefore allowing her to reach a broader customer base. A smart move considering the Coralia Leets brand has expanded from Winter Park, FL to being sold in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Why We Love Her
Coralia's designs are bold and contemporary, perfect for any woman wanting to make a statement, yet they remain delicate and feminine enough for that statement to ere on the side of sheer elegance. Each piece is so entirely versatile, that you could easily wear one of her necklaces to the office, out on a date or even to a black tie event. But beyond versatility comes originality. It's easy to be truly unique in any one of Coralia's designs. Almost each item is offered in a dazzling array of 22 colors so that you can design your necklace or earrings to fit your individual tastes and personality.
Guess Who Else Loves Her?
Coralia's designs are so elegant and show stoppingly gorgeous, that French actress Julia Judd, Penelope Cruz and Milla Jovovich all wore Coralia Leets jewelry to the Cannes Film Festival.
Film star Diahann Carroll was seen wearing a beautiful Coralia Leets necklace in an editorial spread for the May 2011 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine.
Maria Menounos, NBC Today and Access Hollywood correspondent, wore a pair of turquoise Coralia Leets 26mm teardrop earrings on the cover of the June 2011 Self Magazine.
Coralia Leets designs have been featured numerous times in magazines like Harper's Bazaar, In Style, Grazia and Self, to name a few.

Make A Splash With Summer's Hottest Trends
Summer is officially just around the corner, which means long maxi dresses, short shorts and easy, breezy blouses. Undoubtedly, many of you out there are stressing out about finding those last remaining summer time essentials to complete your warm weather wardrobe. Or perhaps you're more stressed out about being able to afford those new summer wardrobe additions. Therein lies the beauty of accessories. An outfit from last summer can be reworked, re-imagined and even reinvented just by merely accessorizing in a new, updated fashion. Instead of spending next month's rent on a bevy of tank tops and mini skirts, invest your hard earned money in a few statement making pieces of jewelry. A gorgeous necklace can turn a simple top into something truly stunning. A modern, sparkly cocktail ring can make last year's summer dress seem suddenly new again. So don't break the bank this year trying to update your wardrobe. Instead accessorize the hell out of it by following a few of this summer's hottest jewelry trends. You'll be glad you did. And so will your piggy bank.
Statement necklaces almost never go out of style, and this summer is no exception. While many of this season's top trends can easily be integrated into the statement necklace, none of them quite hit the mark like gemstones do. More specifically, cabochon style gemstones. Cabochon refers to the cut of a stone, where it is shaped and polished, most likely with a flat bottom and convex top. The smooth surface of a cabochon stone, especially when made from one of summer's vivid hues of turquoise or hot pink, resembles that of hard candy. So, be sure to adorn yourself this summer with a necklace, or even dramatic earrings, dripping in candy-like stones. You'll look good enough to eat.

Giant Cocktail Rings
If diamonds are a girl's best friend, then the cocktail ring would be your hard partyin' college roommate who didn't quite make the cut to be your Maid of Honor. While both are near and dear to your heart, one knows how to have a little more fun than the other, that one, of course, being the cocktail ring. The cocktail ring that'll be strutting its stuff all summer long is the one that's bursting with baubles and bling. The theory here is: the bigger, the better. This summer's giant cocktail ring will update your look with a little bit of flair and a whole lot of attitude.

Pearls have always been considered a classic. They're what you wore while playing dress up, they were what your mother gave you for your 18th birthday, and coincidentally enough, they are what you will be wearing this summer. As the recession continues, pearls can offer us a little glimpse of hope and perhaps a little comfort. They can remind you of good days gone past. However, don't think for a second that these pearls will look anything like the one's grandma used to drape around your neck. These pearls are sexy, they're updated, and they're oh, so modern. Pearls will be mixed with pretty beads and left in their natural, unpolished form. So go ahead, pile on those pretty pearls. Just shy away from grandma's jewelry box when you do.
