FACTS: VSA has a unique style that is handmade from local artisans. The metals used are bronze, silver, or mixed metals. Pieces are often plated in silver or gold. The colors are added with Swarovski crystals, glass beads, and natural stones. Many pieces use a resin over a medallion or an image. VSA started with the same factory over 10 years ago – and has since expanded to include a group of over 60 local craftsmen and women. Because VSA is made by hand – there is uniqueness to every piece of jewelry.

Is VSA Jewelry Blessed by the Pope?
FICTION: VSA jewelry is not blessed by the Pope. It all started with an interview for VH1 TV about 6 years ago. The show featured celebrities and religion with VSA as one of the showcased jewelers.
The interview was about 15 minutes long - but when it was aired - it had Robin Leach voicing over the program and he stated that VSA pieces were blessed by the Pope! Really – who has that kind of access to the Pope! Not VSA.
FACTS: The real truth is our medallions are bought from Italy through the Vatican supplier for church stores.
As for pieces being blessed – at one time holy water from a sacred monastery outside of San Miguel was sprinkled on pieces before shipping. The thought was that the water carried good energy to ensure a safe passage and hopes that a few customers out there could feel it. Is VSA a Religious Company?
FACTS: The founder and designer of VSA is not a religious person - but refers to herself as a ¨faithful¨ person. The reason for Virgins Saints & Angels is not to spread a religion, it is about seeing the goodness in the symbols and icons used in the pieces – everything is up for interpretation - but its core and binding string is faith. It´s a message derived from these icons with all of their power, protection and beauty; they are ancient and can be translated to many beliefs and cultures regardless of religion or ethnicity.
